TikTok publishes no rate for 1,000 views. The rates the calculator opens with are examples, so it shows a result. They are not a benchmark. A creator in the program sees what each video earned in the TikTok app. The brand deal figures come from Sup's own data, and the page lower down says which posts and campaigns they come from.

Formula

How TikTok Creator Rewards are worked out

Rewards=qualified views÷1,000×rate

Only views on videos of at least 1 minute count. TikTok sets the rate for each video and does not publish it.

A worked example: a creator gets 1,000,000 qualified views in a month, at a rate of $0.50 for 1,000. Divide the views by 1,000 to get 1,000, then multiply by 0.50. The program paid about $500 that month, which is about $6,000 in a year at the same pace.

TikTok does not pay a fixed rate. When it launched the program, TikTok said the rewards follow four things: how original the video is, how long people watch it, its search value, and how people engage with it. That is why the calculator asks for a low and a high rate. If you are in the program, divide a month's rewards by its qualified views and multiply by 1,000 to get your own rate.

Who can join

TikTok's rules for the Creator Rewards Program

The account needs at least 10,000 real followers, and 100,000 real video views in the last 30 days.

A personal account

Business and organisation accounts cannot join. The creator must be 18 or over and live in a country where the program runs.

Videos of 1 minute or more

Only public videos of at least 1 minute earn rewards. Shorter videos still count toward the 100,000 views.

Paid on the 15th

TikTok works out the rewards the month after and pays on the 15th, once the total reaches $50. It may cap the rewards.

These are the rules in TikTok's Creator Rewards Program terms for the US, last updated on 20 July 2026. Views that are bought, paid for or produced artificially do not count. Rules in other countries can differ, so check the terms where you live.

Brand deals

What a brand deal is worth, by follower count

For most creators, brands pay more than the program does. The calculator's second part uses two sets of Sup's own figures. The first is the views on 2,279 TikTok posts that featured a brand, grouped by the creator's followers.

Medians of the category medians in Sup’s creator engagement rate by category benchmark, generated 10 September 2026. Each post featured a brand in a category we measured, so these figures sit below a creator’s everyday videos. Cells with fewer than five posts are left out.

The second is what creators asked brands for. These are 524 fees creators quoted on 16 Sup campaigns for US consumer brands, from 3 June 2026 to 1 October 2026. A creator's size is the larger of their Instagram and TikTok followers, and one fee covers what that campaign asked for.

Beyond the program

Other ways creators earn on TikTok

Brand deals

A brand pays the creator directly for a sponsored video, and the two agree the fee. For most creators this is the larger income.

TikTok Shop commission

A creator tags a product in a video and earns a commission, set by the seller, on each sale it brings.

LIVE gifts

Viewers can send gifts during a LIVE video, and the creator can turn them into money.

Price a deal on views

A fee makes sense beside the views a video will get. The median views on recent videos is the fairest number to use.

FAQ

TikTok money questions

TikTok does not publish a rate. In the Creator Rewards Program it pays for qualified views on videos of at least 1 minute, and the amount for each video depends on how original it is, how long people watch, its search value and how people engage with it. So two videos with the same views can earn different amounts. The calculator multiplies the views you enter by a rate you choose.

Multiply 1,000 by the rate for 1,000 qualified views. At $0.40 that is $400, and at $1 it is $1,000. Those two rates are examples and not an average. Only qualified views on videos of at least 1 minute count, so the views on shorter videos earn nothing from the program.

For the Creator Rewards Program in the US, TikTok asks for 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days. The creator must be 18 or over, use a personal account (not a business account) and live in a country where the program runs.

TikTok works out the rewards in the month after they were earned and pays them on the 15th of the month, once the amount reaches $50. Its terms also say it may cap the rewards for a month or a year.
