See which creators your competitors are using
Enter any brand’s Instagram handle. We find its five closest competitors, read the posts that tag each of them over the last 30 days, and show how many creators are behind them, with the biggest by name. No sign-up.
Public data only, fetched live and kept for three days. To have a profile excluded, email hello@sup.co.
What it shows
The creator gap, brand by brand
For the brand you enter and its five closest competitors, the check reads the public posts that tag each brand over the last 30 days. It then looks up every account behind those posts and keeps the ones with 2,000 or more followers. You get three numbers per brand and the faces behind them.
Posts tagging the brand
Every public post in the last 30 days that tagged the brand, from any account.
Posts from creators
Of those, the posts from accounts with 2,000 or more followers.
Creators
How many different creators made those posts. This is the number to compare.
Five competitors
Found with Google Search and confirmed on Instagram, then read the same way as your brand.
Who they are
The 15 biggest creators for each brand by name, and the rest as pictures, with the full count.
Counted or estimated
Counted when we can read 30 days back, estimated from the pace when a brand is too busy to read that far.
In practice
What to do with the gap
If your competitors have several times as many creators posting about them, their customers see them recommended far more often than you. That is rarely down to budget alone. Brands that do well here usually run a steady programme: a few new creators every week, a simple brief, and product sent out on time.
Look at who the competitors’ biggest creators are. If the same names post about two or three of them, those creators sell the category and are worth a brief. If each competitor has its own set, look at what they have in common: the niche, the city, the follower size. That tells you who to recruit.
Then check each creator before you book them. The free Instagram analytics and fake follower checker show whether the audience is real and whether their posts get watched.

How the check works
We read the brand’s tagged posts on Instagram, newest first, until we have 100 posts or reach 30 days back. Each account behind a post gets a profile lookup, which is how we know its follower count. Accounts with 2,000 or more followers count as creators.
Competitors come from a Google search for brands that sell the same kind of product to the same customers, and each one is confirmed on Instagram before we read it. The results are kept for a week, so a brand someone checked recently loads straight away.
The check cannot see posts from private accounts, Stories, or posts that did not tag the brand. Brands that approve tags by hand look quieter than they are. The figures show what creators post in public, which is what your customers see.
FAQ
Competitor creator questions
We search Google for the brands that sell the same kind of product to the same kind of customer, usually a little bigger and better known, and keep the five closest. Every competitor is then confirmed on Instagram, so each handle is a real account with a name that matches the brand.
An Instagram account with 2,000 or more followers that tagged the brand in a post. Smaller accounts are counted in the tagged posts figure but not as creators, because most brands would not book them for a paid post.
No. It counts every public post that tags the brand, paid or not. Public data cannot tell a paid post from a gifted or organic one, so read the figure as how many creators talk about the brand, not how many it pays.
We read up to the 100 most recent posts that tag a brand. When those reach back 30 days, the figures are counts. For big brands, 100 posts cover only a few days, so we estimate the 30-day figure from the pace of the posts we read. Estimated figures are rounded.
The page is a view of the gap, not a download. We show the 15 biggest creators for each brand by name and the rest as pictures, with the full count. On a call we go through the whole list and which of those creators fit your brand.
Some brands approve tags by hand, so posts that tag them do not appear on their tagged tab, and this check cannot see them. If a well-known brand shows almost nothing, that is the most likely reason.
Each brand is read live the first time it is checked, then kept for a week. The figures cover the 30 days before the check ran, and the page says when a figure is an estimate.
Yes, with no sign-up. Brands checked in the last week load at once. New brands take about 45 seconds, and there is a daily limit on new brands. If you hit it, book a call and we will run the full analysis for you.
How do you find a brand’s competitors?

What counts as a creator?
An Instagram account with 2,000 or more followers that tagged the brand in a post. Smaller accounts are counted in the tagged posts figure but not as creators, because most brands would not book them for a paid post.
Does this show paid partnerships only?
No. It counts every public post that tags the brand, paid or not. Public data cannot tell a paid post from a gifted or organic one, so read the figure as how many creators talk about the brand, not how many it pays.
Why do some figures say est.?
We read up to the 100 most recent posts that tag a brand. When those reach back 30 days, the figures are counts. For big brands, 100 posts cover only a few days, so we estimate the 30-day figure from the pace of the posts we read. Estimated figures are rounded.
