A platform, an agency, or Sup

There are three ways to run creator campaigns. A platform gives your team software and leaves you the work. An agency takes the work and charges a retainer. With Sup our team does the work, and you pay only for posts that go live.

  • $0 a month, with no retainer and no set-up fee
  • You approve three things: the shortlist, the rates and the content
  • Every comparison names its sources and the day we read them

When you pay

A platform
Every month, whether or not a post goes live
An agency
Every month, or a share of each campaign
Sup
When a post is live and you have approved it

You pay when a post is live and you have approved it. There is no subscription to pay while you wait.

The choice

Three ways to do the same job

The job is the same on all three: find creators, agree fees, sign contracts, approve content, track posts and pay. What differs is who does it, and what you pay whether or not anything is booked.

  • What it costs

    A platform

A subscription, paid whether or not anything is booked, plus the creators’ fees

    An agency

A retainer or a share of your spend, plus the creators’ fees

    Sup

The creators’ fees. Our share comes out of them

  • Finding creators

    A platform

A search box your team runs

    An agency

Whoever is already on their roster

    Sup

A live search of Instagram and TikTok, matched to your brief

  • Getting a reply

    A platform

You send the messages and the follow-ups

    An agency

    They chase, and you wait

    Sup

We chase. You never send a message

  • Agreeing a price

    A platform

You negotiate, with little to compare a quote to

    An agency

You see their number, not the creator’s

    Sup

We negotiate, and you approve every price

  • Contracts, payments and tax

    A platform

Yours to sort out, creator by creator

    An agency

    Theirs, inside the retainer

    Sup

    Ours, for every creator

  • Seeing what is happening

    A platform

The spreadsheet you keep up to date

    An agency

A report at the end of the month

    Sup

A live dashboard, open at any time

  • When you pay

    A platform

    Every month

    An agency

Every month, or a share of each campaign

    Sup

    When a post is live

  • Who keeps the creators

    A platform

    You

    An agency

    Often the agency

    Sup

You, with the ones you already have

The platform and agency columns describe how each model usually works and name no company. For a named company, open its page below: each one gives that company’s own published price and terms.

Which one

When each one is the right choice

None of the three is right for every brand. This is the short version.

Choose a platform when

You have a person or a team to run campaigns every week, and you want the search and the data in your own hands. The subscription pays for itself when the tool is used daily.

Choose an agency when

You want one firm to own your whole social and creative strategy, beyond creator campaigns, and you have the budget for a monthly retainer.

Choose Sup when

You want the campaign run for you, you want to approve the creators, the rates and the content yourself, and you want to pay only when a post is live.

How it works

From your brief to live posts, with Sup

  1. 01

    You send a brief

The product, who buys it and what you want made.

  2. 02

    You approve the shortlist

It comes back in 48 hours. You say yes or no to each creator.

  3. 03

    You approve the rates

We agree each fee inside your budget. Nothing books until you say yes.

  4. 04

    You approve the content

Then the post goes live, and only then do you pay.

How we compare

How we keep each comparison fair

A comparison written by one of the companies in it is only worth reading if you can check it. These are the rules we hold ourselves to.

Their own pages only

Every fact about another company comes from that company’s public pages. Each of our pages lists them, with the day we read them.

No price they do not publish

Where a company gives no public price, our page says so. We do not repeat a figure from a review site, a forum or a sales call.

What they do well

Each page says what the other company is good at and when it is the better choice. If we have something wrong, write to hello@sup.co and we will correct it.

For how each part of our own work is done, see the features. For the kinds of campaign we run, see the campaigns. Our price is in the pricing section of the homepage.

FAQ

Questions about platforms, agencies and Sup

A platform is software. It gives your team a creator search, an inbox and reports, and your team does the work. An agency is a team that does the work for you, usually for a monthly retainer or a share of your spend. Sup is a third way: our team does the work, and you pay only for posts that go live.

Both. Our own software finds the creators and tracks the posts, and our team does the outreach, the fee talks, the contracts and the payments. You get the result and a live dashboard, and you do not have to learn a tool.

Sup is $0 a month. There is no subscription, no retainer and no set-up fee. You pay each creator only for posts that go live, at the price you approved, and our fee comes out of the creator’s fee.

It means you pay when a post is live and you have approved it. Nothing is booked until you approve the creator’s price, and a creator who does not post is not paid. It does not mean pay for each sale.

Yes. You can keep a search tool for your own research and hand the campaign work to us. You can also bring the creators you already work with: we contract and pay them in the same way, and our fee applies only to creators we find.

Each comparison uses the other company’s own public pages, names them and gives the day we read them. We give a price only where the company publishes one. Each page says what the other company does well and when it is the better choice. If something is out of date, write to hello@sup.co and we will correct it.

What is the difference between an influencer marketing platform and an agency?

A platform is software. It gives your team a creator search, an inbox and reports, and your team does the work. An agency is a team that does the work for you, usually for a monthly retainer or a share of your spend. Sup is a third way: our team does the work, and you pay only for posts that go live.

Is Sup a platform or an agency?

Both. Our own software finds the creators and tracks the posts, and our team does the outreach, the fee talks, the contracts and the payments. You get the result and a live dashboard, and you do not have to learn a tool.

What does Sup cost?

Sup is $0 a month. There is no subscription, no retainer and no set-up fee. You pay each creator only for posts that go live, at the price you approved, and our fee comes out of the creator’s fee.

What does pay on performance mean here?

It means you pay when a post is live and you have approved it. Nothing is booked until you approve the creator’s price, and a creator who does not post is not paid. It does not mean pay for each sale.

We already pay for a platform. Can we still use Sup?

Yes. You can keep a search tool for your own research and hand the campaign work to us. You can also bring the creators you already work with: we contract and pay them in the same way, and our fee applies only to creators we find.

How do you compare yourselves with other companies fairly?

Each comparison uses the other company’s own public pages, names them and gives the day we read them. We give a price only where the company publishes one. Each page says what the other company does well and when it is the better choice. If something is out of date, write to hello@sup.co and we will correct it.

Not sure which one fits you?

Send a brief. A shortlist comes back in 48 hours, and it costs nothing to see it. You only pay for posts that go live.
